Welcome — we’re so glad you’re here. Outside Inn is a working farm and a quiet little corner of the South Carolina Lowcountry, shared by families, full-timers, kids, dogs, and a whole barnful of animals. These guidelines aren’t about red tape; they’re just the handful of things that keep this place feeling like home for everybody. Be a good camper, look out for your neighbors, and the rest takes care of itself.

Outside Inn Campground, LLC is a private campground, and we reserve the right to update these policies at any time. These everyday guidelines go hand in hand with our full Terms & Conditions / Guest Agreement — please give those a read too, along with our Privacy Policy.

Cancellation policy

Life happens, and we get that. Here’s how our cancellation policy works:

  • More than 2 weeks before arrival — Full refund, minus a $15 non-refundable transaction fee. Prefer to keep it all for a later stay? We’re happy to apply the full amount as Camp Credit instead.
  • 2–13 days before arrival — We’ll refund 50% of your reservation total. The remaining balance is forfeited, unless you’d like to apply the full amount as Camp Credit.
  • Less than 24 hours before arrival / no-shows — The full reservation amount is forfeited. Camp Credit for the full amount is available if you reach out before your scheduled arrival.

Camp Credit can be used toward any future booking. For the full details on rental units, damage policies, and Camp Credit terms, see our Terms & Conditions.

Arrival & departure

We keep check-in self-serve and stress-free — the day before you arrive, we’ll email your site map and step-by-step instructions so you can pull straight in.

  • Check-in: 1:00 PM (RV sites) · 4:00 PM (RV rentals)
  • Check-out: 11:00 AM

Need a little extra time? Just ask — when you book direct, late checkout is often on us.

On the property

Speed limit — 9 MPH. We share this space with kids, animals, and people who are just trying to relax. Please keep it slow, and make sure your visitors do too.

Parking. Each RV site accommodates up to 2 vehicles.

Quiet hours — 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. We’re all here for a little peace and quiet. Please be mindful of your neighbors during these hours.

Pets

We love that you brought your furry family member. A few things that keep everyone safe and happy:

  • Pets must be on a leash whenever they’re outside.
  • Pets can’t be left outside unattended.
  • Please clean up after your pet and dispose of waste in a trash can or dumpster.
  • We do have farm animals on property. If your pet becomes excited or reactive around them, please remove them from the area — even well-meaning excitement can stress livestock and trigger territorial behavior.

We want your whole family here, including the four-legged ones. But if a pet poses a safety risk to guests, staff, or animals, we may need to ask you to leave. Our complete pet waiver lives in the Terms & Conditions.

Utilities

All RV sites include full hookups. A few quick notes so everything runs smoothly:

Sewer — Please use RV-specific toilet paper only. Standard household paper can damage our sewer system, and any repair costs resulting from non-RV paper use will be the responsibility of the guest.

Water — Our main line has a pressure valve, but we recommend running a water pressure regulator on your RV as well. You’re responsible for the hose from the spigot to your rig — keep it thawed in cold weather and check for leaks. We handle everything up to the spigot.

Electric — Power is included with every site. We’re responsible for the outlet at the post; you’re responsible for your connecting cords. A surge protector is a smart move for your RV’s electronics.

Site appearance

We want Outside Inn to feel beautiful for everyone. A few guidelines:

  • Please don’t build or erect any structures on your site.
  • If something doesn’t fit the look and feel of the campground, we may ask you to remove it.
  • Your RV should be in good working condition — no fluid leaks, no tarps over the roof or windows. We don’t have age restrictions on rigs; we love a well-loved vintage camper. It just needs to be road-worthy and watertight.

The farm

Our animals are a big part of what makes Outside Inn special. They each have specific dietary needs, so please don’t feed them table scraps or leftovers — some human foods are genuinely harmful to livestock.

What they do love: fresh apples, carrots, and leafy greens. Bring some along and you’ll have friends for life. For everyone’s safety, stay outside the fencing, keep little hands (and paws) on your side of the rail, and follow any posted signs and staff directions.

We host feeding experiences where you can get hands-on with treat time — ask us at the office about the next one, or say hello to the crew over on Meet the Farm Family.

That’s really all there is to it. Slow down, be kind, clean up after yourselves and your pups, and enjoy the farm. Questions about anything here? Call or text us at (803) 974-8585 or drop us a line — a real person always answers. For the legal fine print, see our Terms & Conditions / Guest Agreement and Privacy Policy.
