The best way to book is directly with Outside Inn — you'll get our best rate guaranteed, plus perks like late checkout and a bundle of firewood on arrival. You can also find us on Campspot, Hipcamp, and Airbnb, though booking direct always gets you the most.
Yes — guests must be 21 or older to make a reservation. Reservations made by guests under 21 are void and Outside Inn reserves the right to refuse check-in.
RV campsites have no minimum stay requirement — book a single night or a full season. The glamping tent and the renovated camper require a 2-night minimum stay. Weeklong stays at either glamping accommodation receive a 10% discount.
Yes. We offer discounted rates for weekly and monthly stays. Contact us directly at stay@outsideinncampground.com or (803) 974-8585 to discuss extended stay options and current rates.
Yes — we love a good gathering. For large groups, please contact us directly to discuss availability, site selection, and any group-specific arrangements. We'll work with you to make sure everyone has a great stay.
Campsites: More than 2 weeks before arrival — full refund minus a $20 non-refundable transaction fee, or full Camp Credit. 2 to 13 days before arrival — 50% refund, balance forfeited, or full Camp Credit instead. Less than 24 hours before arrival — full payment forfeited, or full Camp Credit if requested before your scheduled arrival time. No-shows forfeit full payment.
Glamping tent & renovated camper: Same terms, except the non-refundable transaction fee is $15.
Camp Credit is redeemable at Outside Inn only and valid for one year from issue. Guests booking through third-party platforms are subject to that platform's cancellation policy.
Yes — Camp Credit can be elected in place of a partial or full refund and applied toward a future stay within one year. Direct bookers also have more flexibility on date changes than third-party bookings. Contact us as early as possible if you need to adjust your dates.
Check-in for RV campsites is 1:00 PM. Check-in for the glamping tent and the renovated camper is 4:00 PM. Check-out for all accommodations is 11:00 AM. Late checkout is available for guests who book direct — just ask us when you arrive.
No office stop needed. Check-in is completely self-serve. The day before your arrival you'll receive an email with your site map and step-by-step arrival instructions. No — we don't have a cut-off time for late arrivals. We do ask that you send us a quick text if you're arriving late so we don't mark you as a no-show. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM, so please be mindful of your neighbors when pulling in after hours.
Hookups, rig length, and the lay of the land.
We have 28 full-hookup RV sites — 19 back-in sites and 9 pull-through sites.
All sites offer full hookups — 30/50 amp electric, water, and sewer directly at the site. One site is water and electric only (no sewer) and is priced accordingly. There is no standalone dump station on property — you won't need one.
Our pull-through sites accommodate rigs up to 70 feet. All of our sites are wide with generous spacing — slides fully extended on both sides are no problem. If you have a particularly large or unusual rig, contact us and we'll make sure we put you in the right spot.
Yes — we have 9 pull-through sites. Three are private pull-throughs and six are buddy sites (paired pull-throughs sharing a common open space, each with its own fire ring and picnic table). All pull-through sites have farm views and are ideal for big rigs.
Buddy sites are paired pull-through sites that share a common open space between them. Each site has its own fire ring, picnic table, and full hookups — your space is entirely your own. They're great for two families or rigs traveling together, and work perfectly well for solo travelers too.
Every site includes a picnic table, fire ring, 30/50 amp electric and water (with sewer depending on the site), and access to all property amenities — the farm, trails, farmstand, bathhouse, laundry, and playground. Complimentary Starlink WiFi and strong cell service are available across the property.
Sites start at $45/night for a weekday stay on a standard site, up to $65/night for a weekend stay on a premium site. Rates vary by site type and season. Book direct for our best rate guarantee.
Yes. Our 19 back-in sites back up to the tree line and offer varying levels of shade and natural privacy. Some are heavily wooded; others are more partially shaded. If tree coverage is important to you, mention it when booking and we'll do our best to accommodate.
We have two private glamping accommodations. The glamping tent is a 14x16 canvas wall tent with a private hot tub, queen bed, wood-burning stove, forest deck, kitchenette, and fire ring, and sleeps 2. The renovated camper has a full kitchen, a private bathroom with a tankless water heater, a farm-view front porch deck, and triple bunk beds, sleeps 5, and is pet-friendly.
Yes — both the glamping tent and the renovated camper come fully stocked with bed linens and towels. Beds are made and ready on arrival. You don't need to bring a thing except your groceries.
The hot tub is private and exclusive to the glamping tent — it is not shared with any other guests on the property. String lights surround the hot tub and the path leading to it. It's ready and warm when you arrive.
Feedings, snuggles, and fresh eggs.
Outside Inn is home to more than 25 named farm animals across 8 species — 9 miniature cattle (Highland, Hereford, Angus, Jersey, and Guernsey/Holstein), 11 Nigerian Dwarf and Nigerian Dwarf mix goats, 5 sheep including the rare Valais Blacknose breed, 3 Kunekune pigs, a Jerusalem donkey, 40+ chickens including Silkies and Bantams, 9 ducks (Mallard, Pekin, and Indian Runner), and 2 pedigreed Holland Lop rabbits with litters born seasonally.
Farm feedings happen twice daily — every morning at 9:30 AM and every evening at 6:30 PM. Meet at the barn. Feedings are free for all overnight guests, no sign-up needed. Just show up.
Yes — farm interaction is at the heart of the Outside Inn experience. All overnight guests are welcome at daily feedings, and animals can be visited at the fencing throughout the day. Guests must remain outside all fencing at all times and may not open any gates or enclosures.
Yes. In addition to the free daily feedings, we offer Private Farm Tour & Snuggle Experiences — a guided, hands-on session with the animals, available by appointment. Contact us at stay@outsideinncampground.com or (803) 974-8585 to book.
Yes. Our flock of 40+ free-range chickens lays eggs daily. Overnight guests are welcome to collect fresh eggs directly from the egg hutch at the farm. There is nothing better than a fresh farm egg at your campsite for breakfast.
Bathhouse, WiFi, fires, and the farmstand.
Yes. Complimentary Starlink WiFi is available for all guests across the property. Cell service is also strong on property — you're well connected whichever way you prefer.
On-site facilities include a bathhouse, laundry room, playground, farmstand, farm access, and 1.5 miles of wooded hiking trails. Complimentary Starlink WiFi and strong cell service are available across the entire property.
The bathhouse has 2 private half bathrooms, 2 full bathrooms with showers, and 1 laundry room. It is shared between campsite guests. The glamping tent and the renovated camper each have their own private bathrooms.
Yes — there is a laundry room in the bathhouse. It operates on an honor system; payment is by cash or Venmo.
No pool — the ducks would take it over and never give it back. Lake Marion is 8 minutes away at Santee State Park for swimming.
We have an on-site farmstand that operates self-serve and carries firewood, fire starters, drinks, ice cream, s'mores kits, locally made sourdough bread and tallow candles, and Outside Inn hats and stickers. For additional supplies, the Dollar General is just one mile away.
Yes — campfires are a great part of the Outside Inn experience. Every site has its own private fire ring. Firewood bundles and fire starters are available at the farmstand. We follow local guidelines regarding burn bans and will communicate any restrictions to guests as needed.
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily. We ask all guests and their visitors to respect their neighbors during these hours.
Bring the dog. Keep them leashed.
Yes — the entire campground welcomes leashed pets. All RV campsites allow pets at no additional charge. The renovated camper is pet-friendly with a pet fee and a maximum of 2 pets. The glamping tent does not allow pets.
RV campsites allow up to 4 pets per site. The renovated camper allows up to 2 pets.
We do not have breed restrictions. However, if your pet is aggressive or causing problems for other guests or the farm animals, we will ask you to make arrangements to house them elsewhere — or ask you to leave. We prioritize the safety and comfort of all our guests and our animals.
Yes — leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome to visit the animals at the fencing. Please keep your pet under control at all times near the farm. If your pet is reactive or showing aggression toward livestock, remove them from the area immediately. Even well-intentioned excitement can stress farm animals.

Outside Inn is located at 1074 Woolbright Road, Santee, South Carolina 29142, in Orangeburg County — in the heart of the SC Lowcountry. We are approximately 1 hour from Charleston, 1 hour from Columbia, and 1 hour from Myrtle Beach, with easy access from I-26 and I-95.
GPS will get you close. Head for 1074 Woolbright Road, Santee, SC 29142. From I-95, take the Santee exit and follow toward town and onto Woolbright Road. When you're on Woolbright Road and you see the farm fence, you're in the right place.
Santee State Park and Lake Marion are 8 minutes away. Congaree National Park is 50 minutes northwest and Edisto Memorial Gardens about 30 minutes west. Charleston is 1 hour south and Columbia is 1 hour north. Local highlights include fishing and kayaking on Lake Marion, golf at Santee National Golf Club, birdwatching at Santee National Wildlife Refuge, and dining at Clark's Inn, Captain's Quarters, and Wilbur's Seafood Market.
